Who offers the service

This site is the Escazú Marketing service, offered by Escazú Consulting Group. The provider’s identification number is not published here. It is used on an invoice when you ask for one.

What we keep

We keep the account email, the project name, payment references, appointment details, and, when you ask for an electronic invoice, your ID type, ID number, legal name, invoice email, and address. Those invoice details are kept for the invoice. They are not published on this website.

Card numbers stay with PayPal. We do not store them.

When you accept the terms at checkout, we store that you accepted, the time, the version of the terms, and the IP address of the request.

Your choice on the cookie banner is saved in this browser’s local storage. It is not a cookie and it is not stored with your account.

Why

We use this information to create your account, take payment, book consultations, issue an electronic invoice in Hacienda’s free TicoFactura tool when you ask for one, and keep the tax records Costa Rica requires.

How long

Invoices and payment logs are kept for 5 years. The website repository is deleted on day 91 after a failed payment, as described in the terms. The account email and payment record are part of that 5-year tax record.

You can ask us to close your account from the portal. We close the login. Invoices, payment logs, and the record that you accepted the terms stay for those 5 years.

Who else receives it

Payment processing is done by PayPal. The site and database are hosted with our infrastructure providers. Consultation times are written to the host calendar. If you choose OK on the cookie banner, Google Analytics receives the page address and the actions described in the cookie notice. It does not receive your email address or payment details. We do not sell personal information.
